Hey! So Glad You're Here.
I have pastored Cedar Lake Church in Biloxi, Mississippi for the past 20 years, and I love this congregation deeply….but I also have a heart for the world. When I was 5 years old my dad took our entire family to Kenya, and we have been connected to that nation and to global missions for the past 50 years. When I was in high school, my brother Don took me to a remote island off the coast of Kenya, where I had my first encounter with an unreached people group. I had no idea this was a Divine setup for my future. After years of missions trips, promoting missions in my local church, and serving on numerous missions boards, I enrolled in the doctoral program of Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. During my work at AGTS, God brought the issue of frontier missions, or reaching unreached people groups, into sharp focus in my life. While I love and support a variety of missions efforts which I believe are vital and need to continue, I was struck by the lack of support coming from US churches for the remaining least reached areas of the globe. My goal is to 1) inform pastors and other missions leaders concerning this missing piece in our missions vision; 2) promote conversations and partnerships between pastors, leaders, frontier missions specialists, and missionaries; 3) provide practical steps pastors and leaders can take to shape their missions vision and practice to appropriately include frontier missions.
I have had the great fortune of being married to Twila for more than three decades. We have three children, Hannah, Christian, and Joel, all of whom are serving in ministry.
